RESEARCH ON THE FORMATION AND DRIVING FORCES OF SPORTS AND LEISURE DISTRICT IN TIANJ IN CITY

Abstract：With the rapid development of the economy and the improvement of people's life, activities in city have also been greatly developed, and some complete districts for leisure activities have been formed within some better developed cities. Thus, the research on city leisure districts has been paid more and more attention to and become an important research object. As a new functional district in city, the formation and development of city sports and leisure district are directly related to the upgrade of the whole urban landscape image and the improvement of people's life quality,and also, it has an effect on the city space. The city sports and leisure district on this paper mainly refers to relatively professional and intensive city district, which provides urban people with sports service and leisure service.
In order to make a better introduction to the city sports and leisure district, this paper selects Tianjin city,one of the four municipalities and also an important economy district in China as a research object. This paper defines the area between the high-speed way and the middle-round-road as Tianjin leisure district. The sports and leisure district in Tianjin city has been gradually developed since 1950. From then on, more and more different types of leisure districts were built and the function of the leisure districts has been greatly improved. Till now the city sports and leisure district has totally formed.
The formation and development of Tianjin sports and leisure district is the unity of leisure service industry in space and time. The increase in population and the development of social economy and the upcoming civil needs provide great push force to sports and leisure service industry. Besides that, other factors also affect the formation of city sports and leisure district. Thus, to analyze the driving forces of sports and leisure district will help us research this subject.
This paper makes a positive research on Tianjin's sports and leisure district, defines the spatial bound of its functional district, describes its formation, summarizes and analyzes the formation mechanism and driving force of the Tianjin sports and leisure district. Through the research on the formation of Tianjin city sports and leisure district and the analysis of its driving forces, this paper tries to make a reference to the improvement of the city's environment and peoples' life quality and offers important instructions for the planning and construction of other cities' sports and leisure district in China.
